The FEDESSA – Federation of European SelfStorage Associations Board has recently created a new position of Specialist Director on the Board.
This position was established to provide some specialist expertise on the board and ensure continuity from some of the historical decisions within FEDESSA.
Paul Fahey has been appointed to fill this role for the current term. Paul joined the Self-Storage Industry in 1999 and, under a year later, joined the board of what is now the SSA UK. He has been a past chairman of both FEDESSA and the SSA UK and owned and managed self-storage stores in the UK and Italy.
He is also currently a member of the board of the Self Storage Association Asia
He was instrumental in creating FEDESSA and the European Self Storage Standard as well as organising some of the first FEDESSA conferences. Paul says “I believe one of the key benefits of a trade association is the association’s ability to influence the improvement of industry standards.
