Warehouse Storage Costs
Although renting a storage space is simple, working out whether or not you can afford it can be a bit confusing. Warehouse storage can be rented over a long or short-term period and usually involves monthly payments which will be determined by answers to the following three questions:
- How much space does my business need?
- How long does my business need storage for?
- Which facility is more convenient for my business?
Before you can request a quote, you’ll first need to find out how much space you’ll need. If you’re a small business with a few pallets of stock, this is fairly easy, but if you are a large company with rows of inventory, you can measure the square footage of your inventory by following these simple steps:
- Stack all stock side by side as you would store it
- Measure the height, width and length of the stack
- Multiply the length of the stack by the width to determine the square footage
Lastly, provide our team with the total square footage, length of stay and the facility you’d like to store with. With this information, they’ll be able to send you an accurate quote of the total warehouse cost per month.
There are no additional rental charges at Storage World, however, we do request that our customers insure their goods. We work with you to establish the new for old replacement value of your goods, ensuring you have adequate protection. Your Storage Adviser will assist you in producing an inventory and liaising with you periodically in the event the items you are storing change.
