Covid-19 Information for our customers – We are still open.
Dear our valued customers,
Due to the current ongoing situation with the Covid-19 pandemic, we felt it necessary to keep you updated on how we are operating to meet your needs. We are still very much open and operating, albeit with enhanced measures in place to ensure the safety of our customers and our team.
The health and safety of our customers, visitors and staff remains paramount and we are following all government guidance and regulations with regards to operating with social distancing in placOpening and customer service hours
We remain open with government support, with our usual working and opening hours in place to ensure our key worker and essential service customers are able to access their storage as and when required.
As a quick reminder, our opening hours at all three of our storage facilities are:
- 8.30AM – 5:30PM Monday to Friday
- 10:00AM – 4:00PM Saturday
- 10:00AM – 2:00PM Sunday
Throughout lockdown, we will remain open with no plans to close or reduce hours in the immediate future.
Although operating with reduced levels of staff, we will have one member of staff in all stores at all times during our standard opening hours. We also have at least one member of staff managing our phone lines from 7.30AM to 8:00PM, Monday to Sunday. This is to ensure that our team is on-hand to help you with any queries you may have.
Storage World sanitisation and social distancing measures
We have also implemented comprehensive sanitisation regimes across all three of our stores, and these are carried out, documented and audited on a daily basis. This includes the sanitisation of all communal areas, fob points, communal door handles, reception and our lifts.
All stores have also been equipped with extensive personal sanitisation equipment, with hand sanitising stations and a free pair of gloves on arrival for all visitors. All of our storage units are regularly sanitised, as is standard practice at Storage World, immediately following a customer vacating the unit.
Our reception areas also have clear 2 metre distancing markers laid out, with furniture arranged strategically to illustrate this further. All in-store corridors at all three of our storage facilities have also been clearly marked with 2 metre intervals to ensure social distancing across employees, visitors and customers. Use of our lifts are now restricted to one person at a time, or group if those individuals are living and isolating together.
New contracts and payments
Any new storage rental contracts are now committed to, and signed for on a digital, remote basis instead of at our reception. This ensures minimal contact between staff and visitors to ensure the safety of all.
- Payments are encouraged to be carried out without contact, via bank transfer, direct debit, Apple Pay and Google Pay or contactless credit or debit card payment.
- Move-in is now handled on an appointment-only basis, with an individual time slot given to ensure no one else is in the store at the time.

We will continue to implement these measures for as long as advised and continue to monitor the official guidance provided by the UK Government, Public Health England and our local authorities.
