Storage World recently had the opportunity to present to 30+ business leaders who operate local to our new Storage World Self Storage site next to Manchester Airport. The presentation was to members, visitors and guests of the local BNI Wilmslow chapter which meets once a week. The presentation enabled us to educate those in attendance on the benefits of the service we offer at Storage World to both business and domestic customers. As a member of the group we anticipate that our participation will not only increase our visibility as a brand in the local area, but we hope to be able to help other members grow their own businesses.
Building business connections in the local area will help promote our offering and service to a wider community, putting Storage World in the minds of those who otherwise either might not have come across it, or identified it as a storage solution for themselves or their business.
Anybody can store and be a self storage customer. Typical domestic customers include people moving house, carrying out renovation works to their house, decluttering or people going through divorce or loss of loved ones who need a place to store their items. For this reason, Estate Agents, Trades and Solicitors can be great referral partners for us as they work with people in some of the above situations.
Business customers include start-ups who need some extra space, online and offline retailers who use the space to store stock, trades and construction to either store equipment or to remove and store items from buildings whilst works are being carried out and businesses who need document storage to name a few. By having storage close to Manchester Airport we also hope to be able to service individuals and businesses linked to the airport.
Self storage is a difficult product to glamorise in order to appear to the masses, people either have a need or they don’t. For us it is about trying to get the stage whereby we are the go-to local self storage business in the area when people have a need, where new clients are already aware of us by brand reputation and come in with full confidence that they are dealing with professionals.
